its on 17th June, Thursday .
we will meet at bedok mrt station at 9.30 am and take bus 401 from there to ECP !
(yes ppl living in the west we will have to wake up early, i think kahmun the bedok person is the only happy one )
be in comfortable attire !
pls bring along anything fun, like beachball, frisbee,kites, card games, snacks, etc etc etc etc bcus we cant rollerblade for the whole day ! (:
most rental shops will provide long socks for rollerblading but i suggest that we all bring a pair of long socks just in case ,
and maybe a set of extra clothes if you think that you will get wet somehow ! (:

HELLO ALL YOU POLAR BEARS!

Hopefully our hibernation periods are over, we've been through a tough camp! Well I slept for like 21 hours (with breaks in between though, unlike Si Hui hahaha)! And now that I'm finally awake, I'm starting to feel the post-camp emptiness. No more proposals / preparation ): And it's back to the holiday homework that I am pretty sure many of us haven't started on.

I'd like to think of the whole Take Flight '09 as more of a growing experience for us than it was for the campers! And I guess we've all said our thank-yous to everyone in one way or another already, but here's to all of you, once again!:

Thank you all sosososo much for being there, with your encouragement, your willing sacrifices for this camp - the effort, time and patience put into the meticulous planning of the camp... and so much more. It wasn't easy, but I'm very very glad and proud that the 14 of us actually put in twice the amount of hard work than any of the other batches, and made it a success in our very own way. And that night was really memorable. I think we've grown a lot there and then, and I think this is the great step into being leaders in 2010. Sorry too, for not being the best ACC I could be. Another shout-out goes to Michelle, really sorry and thanks for being patient with me when I wasn't being responsible and so blur and everything... To the rest of this awesome batch, all the best in being the most seniorestest Sec 4s next year, we'd be super old already! Haha it's scary how we're all growing up so quickly! ): Anyhows, I love you Batch '07!!!

HEY BATCHMATES!

We survived camp! Hope you guys are all well and rested! It was really really amazing to see everyone put in their best, helping each other out for the planning and actual ATC. I feel that we've grown A LOT during this time and we're also closer now! Honestly I think the only reason we could do this was our common goal. Because even if we had 20, 30 people, if they all walk in different directions we still wouldn't get anywhere! But we had 14, and we walked together, and that's what really matters! So I hope that next year, when our batch numbers 23 again, we'll continue to walk together, hand in hand.

I believe that like us, our juniors also learnt a lot, and hopefully, they will carry it with them through the next year. I also believe that they will change, once they see how wonderful NYGG is! For me, it was all of you batchmates who helped me see that this was the place for me. THANK YOU BATCHMATES!!!!!!!

The camp has ended, but Batch 07, our flight has just begun!

I guess we're all dealing with the fact that FAREWELL'S OVER and we are now the official... people.

Well even if you're feeling sad/worried about our present and future, it's okay! I have faith in our batch, and I believe that we CAN DO IT! Don't be scared, we're all supporting one another. the CLs and ACLs have come up with an almost finalised time plan!!!! (whoo like finally), and it will be sent out to y'all soon! So do start on your proposals cos the deadlines are almost here! (Sadly but yes :/)

And then towards the evening-nightish, Aurelia and I went to Bukit Timah Plaza to LOOK FOR BATCH PJS(!!!! :D) since we had nothing to do, (and Aurelia volunteered to be 'BATCH PJ I/C although it wasn't even official). HEHE. and guess what

WE FOUND CHEAP CHEAP PJs!! (.. i sound like some auntie. SIGH) LIKE (around) $7(++) HOW AWESOME. they come in all sorts of colours/pictures/sizes.. but anw point is WE FINALLY FOUND PJs :D whhoo. since we might not be able to get all the same design pjs (i don't think many of you want to wear all same anyway), so we're going to get 24 pjs and then maybe number them then let yall draw lots or something. hahaha. so its going to be fair and yall won't fight for the nicer designs. i think we can get mutual swops too. doesn't matter (:

Here is an amazing chainmail that has arisen because of ONE person's heartfelt email. We hope that everyone who reads this will gain in one way or another, just like we have.

TANIA:
Hey batchmates! (:Okay..I feel somewhat compelled to send this email after today's PLC. Basically what happened today probably wasn't a really major problem, and yeah the Sec4s this year probably got screwed as well last year. I guess to us it felt like "We tried our best, but our best is not enough yet.". That's how I felt. Actually I think we're all doing a really good job now! And it feels REALLY REALLY good to know that we are starting/already have been supporting each other more and more especially this year. (: Remember the times you covered up for your batchmate, when you were rushing out proposals till late at night and getting "jiayous!" and "don't worry, you can always ask us for help!" or even ":D!!!", packing logistics together before CCA and fretting together? I mean, it's not like we're going to step down already so soon, but if you look back we've actually come a really long way. And whether or not we were once strangers, ! we wouldn't have managed to come this far as a batch ,caring and for e ach other and being so understanding without the LOVE and ENCOURAGEMENT from everyone right! :D ...hmm. HAHA alright I'm sorry I admit I don't know what to say after thinking for 10 min. I thought I had a lot on my mind when I started this email though. :/ But anyway, this is just a note to tell all of you that I really appreciate all of you for everything that we've done for each other. 've been having sudden surges of love recently for some reason. Hahaha. And NO, I am not turning into something weird in case any of you are thinking right now. ._____. I LOVE YOU ALL! <3 You guys have been my pillar(s) of support for the past 2 and a half years, always providing me with a shoulder to cry on and lending me a ear so I can rant. I think this transcends all the other unhappy things that have happened between us (:
I'm really sorry for all the times I have been horrible. Flaring up at you guys, quarrelling, getting irritated and pissed at each other, and what not. I know I haven't been the most wonderful batchmate ever, and I want to extend my apologies to everyone whom I've offended, knowingly or unknowingly, and I hope you guys won't bear any grudges against me and let the unhappy memories be erased from our memories, never to be brought up again.
Thank you every single one of you, especially during these past few weeks. We've all been extremely busy these past few weeks, especially to the OICs and AICs of the CCA session and West Division Day. THANK YOU for sacrificing your precious time to plan and work hard for the CCA and helping us to move forward as one.
Okay I am becoming incoherent, which is bad. I shall stop because I may end up rambling. Anyway, I hope that we'll continue to work together to bring nanyang guides to greater heights and improving the standard of nygg (: We can do it! :D Don't be disheartened by setbacks, because we'll learn through these; we'll grow. Wow wow wow. Seriously, everybody is like confessing their LOVE for Guides and batchmates. Haha. Actually, I had thanked Tania alr but I decided I shall send everybody another email.. Haha. :D Unlike most of you, I had LOVE-d GUIDES ever since Sec 1. I dun understand y actually. I think it's super duper fun and prob bcos of YOU-KNOW-WHO. Yeahh. :) Yeahh. I agree, whn I say I'm in Guides, ppl gave me THAT look. I guess everybody here wld hav experienced it. But I say it with pride cos I know I love NYGG and the people inside. Yes, we shall work tgt more often and plan out a CCA that is both fun and strict! No matter what happens (Ms Teng or seniors scolding us), I know we will stick tgt as a batch and comfort each other! To speak of the truth, I find batchmates easier to speak to thn classmates or friends. I usually tell my xin shi to batchmates rather thn to classmates. Hehs. Mayb cos we are tgt for 4 yrs that's y. I have to agree with Si Hui. Yes, I realized that we learnt a lot of things from NYGG. Learning how to lead, learning the importance of the sense of urgency, learning alot of different skills has helped me ALOT in many ways. From some incidents, I realized how important were the things that I learnt in guides. (For eg, for my LA SIA, I screened the movie Madagascar. Rmb? Haha nvm. When I realized that we left several minutes b4 the start of recess, I started to hurry. I realized that the sense of urgency was essential so that the screening of the movie wld start whn recess started. That's y I was super pissed whn my group mates were just idling thr waiting for the things to b done.) Haha. Yeahh. So let's JIAYOU and lead the company well!!! :D:D:D

to start off, HELLO:D
i replied to these e-mails not only because more people did but also because i wanted to! the long chains of 'reply to all' emails started off with Tania, this really shows that if one of our batchmates start something, the rest of us will support her. BATCH SUPPORT! :D & yeah, like everyone said: NYGG.BATCH'07 has gotten a lot more closer! we love each other one another more and its a GOOD thing. its the right kind of love anyways. We survived being in UG for 3 years. & now, we appreciate/love it. Besides, UG pushes us a lot, not many CCAs out there can. leadership, the stronger character and bonds form and all. & AHAHAHAHHAHA, i don't really know but when all of you who went OBS, did you guys totally miss the rest of our batch? if we could, i really wished we could all go OBS(not s'pore) again sometime soon together. ok, so now our batch is deeply in love with one another. i hope we can pass the 'loving guides' feeling to our juniors. anyways, JUST A BIG SHOUT OUT TO EVERYONE TO JIAYOU. i heard so many jiayous in Nanyang that my life has been full of jiayous. just a single word, smile, laughter makes hell lot of difference! its just contagious! though i know ATC'09 gonna be super hard to plan and all but i'm actually looking forward to it!Batch'07, i wonder how we're gonna leave our mark in our very own ATC?

Hello everyone. I... Don't really know what to say now but I'd just like to say this. In this chain email we've all been confessing our love for guides, and I guess that what has progessed really is beautiful. But right now I just feel really bad because I know I haven't been giving my best effort in helping you guys out, and this love for guides that each of you has probably has its limits too. For each one of you I know I may or may not be included within your limit, and I just want to say I'm really really sorry about that. What I'm trying to say is, I know I haven't been a good batchmate to all of you, and I've done many things that I'm ashamed of. And in these past emails we've been reliving the memories spent together, and I realised that I wasn't part of many of them. I'm sorry if this sounds emo or whatever, but now that I see our batch has grown so much closer I really hope that I can be part of it too. & now because we are in the awkward transition of blurblur juniors to the know-it-all seniors, it's kinda hard right? i mean, seriously?

Suddenly, we are greeted.

Suddenly, we are the ones in charge now.

all eyes are on us, we take the centre stage.
How this play will turn out, I don't know but we will play our roles well.

Aurelia mentioned the 2 sides we can take for our CCA planning: BE STRICT / FUN.
I think we should be a lot more stricter cos I think our batch is so nice that our juniors might just climb all over us. Let's try to balance the strictness and fun, shall we?
& Michelle and Sihui are coming up with new disciplinary measures. unmistakably FCs... HAHA.

We definitely grew a lot more closer than we started off in Sec1. I think all the recent frenziness and chaos caused by all the CCA planning and chionging proposals in the wee hours( Ping Zheng!0:) brought us way closer. in a way or two.
Most importantly, seeing the tags on the board and the declaration of soulmates from Evie to Ping Zheng and me(when i was ready to be one, that is. HAHA, reminded me of BOF! Cher Yee!), reminded me of a song's lyrics(some parts) we all sang/dance to together once during our batch performances.

this blog is kind of dead. but it's okay cause i'm here! (:

how is everybody! we haven't had cca and we're not going to have cca soon ): it feels like we haven't seen each other for a long time even though we're just around the corner in school. i miss all of you haha. batch lunch poofed after implementation of staggered reccess but remember to take care of yourselves(: H1N1 is here for war and we will fight back! *pulls out a sword and swishes it in the air* Rest well if you're sick and let's all be socially responsible little guides.

Oh my we're taking over soon and it's seems really really fast. Here's a post from one of our dearest batchmates.

Its come sooner than we thought it would. Our debutante, their swan song.
No more shall we just be the audience, watching on as they slog their heads off
backstage, no. We shall be taking over their roles as the directers, script
writers, costume designers and most of all, actors. On stage and off stage, we
run the show. No more advice, no more encouragement aswe strike out on our own.
We ARE on our own.
Any set mishaps? Any forgotten lines? Well the show must go
on as it always has and always will. Panic shall be hidden behind the calm
facade of the actors, for they are afterall actors. We show the audience what
they want to see, while backstage we run ourselves into a frenzy as various
ideas are thrown out to ease the situation.
As they take their final bow, we will remember their changes which have been assimilated into the theatre. And soon when time clouds the memories, only this changes will remain, immortalized in time. The roses are waiting to be delivered into their arms. Roses of thanks, faith and luck.
A whole new set of audience awaits us, with different tastes, different problems waiting to be solved, will we succeed in bringing them to their feet when our play finally ends like the others who have preceeded us? Only time will tell.
The cast of our play are varied. That willl be our strength and our greatest weakness. A vibrant and lively play may emerge from this chaos, or chaos may simply begetchaos. The choice is ours. Does the path choose the seeker, or the seeker, the path?
The time draws near, they are set to give the performance of their lives, we will rally around them, for they are most deserving of the respect they have earned in our little theatre group. We are family.

Let's support each other and get through bravely and strongly! <3

okay pingzheng here and this is about batch outing! :) anyway i discussed with a few juniors (:/ actually, 2: xinhui and jiachee) about a combined outing and they were okay with it, (although they were still going to have another of their pure batch '08 one).

anyway! we have decided that it was very suitable if it was:

Time: 10am - 5pm

hello this is extremely sad. our blog is very dead D:

never mind i shall be nice and update since i have nothing to do! :D (actually well i do have a lot to do, but i just don't feel like doing them)

our batch is just like a box of colour pencils (i don't care i'm taking the pink one nyeh!) (okay i share with you shiao wei :D ), we can fill up a big lovely picture and make it nice and colourful if we work together!

and i realised it's really nice to be able to talk to your batchmates(: about crazy stuff or when you need someone to talk to when you're sad): you know you'll get a nice warm fuzzy feeling in your heart :D

it's like drinking hot chocolate on a chilly night ^^

HELLO! i shall update this dead blog because i have something important to say anyway.

okay so if you look in your june schedule you will see that sec4s are having a MINDS CIP on 21st june (sat). it doesn't say, but sec2s are supposed to go for the campfire later in the evening. details here-

i shall use point form.
we need to come up with a 15min campfire performance
the theme is starlight-find the light in you (doesn't this remind you of gadget comp O:)
21st june, sat
6.00pm-9.00pm (time is not confirmed yet)
dry weather will be at the quadrangle, wet weather at the hall

and here are some things i need to know:

we need to meet during one of the breaks next week to discuss this
not thursday because we have batch drill
and not during the 15min of batch lunch because everyone will be eating
so you need to tell me which day you can make it
and most importantly, if you CANNOT go for the campfire the actual day

some details about the performance:

song/ skit / dance
i think a skit is the easiest
so hence we need a script
and who plays what roles
and props whatever we need
music

hello world, i feel weird. haha. sec2s for so long now, and we are starting to have to do proposals. and half the year is about gone. haha. oh wells, jiayou everybody for the gadget competition. especially those patrols who only have 4 people. haha and that may include my patrol, if my PL *Rayna* doesnt come. yeps. but all of us should jiayou yea? we shall be nice nice seniors and lead our sec2s.

hello hello! ;D block tests are over and it's time to rejoice(: and since WE ARE NOT INTELLECTUALLY CHALLENGED, all of us should be able to do well for block tests! we must believe in ourselves and tell yourself you can do it! (even though it certainly doesn't help to change the marks that we already got) nevertheless, we can look on the brighter side(:

hmm yes..we only have 20 people in our batch. aha but the keyword is not ONLY so everyone of us is important and we make things right when we work together in a batch! the number of people doesn't matter, for we will stay strong always(: haha like the thinking day cookies turned out just fine, even though HOW we actually managed to make them isn't exactly very 了不起, and everything was sold out. oh dear i'm wondering why i sound so funny when i post..i don't even talk like that! do i? no i don't.

hello! ohh this is my first time posting and i feel rather excited :D haha! lsc is over, and i must say that i really learnt a lot through this camp. like why some people just like to scream into your face just to get their message across to you, how some people just like to make things difficult for you and even how simple it is to make someone that you care about happy. hmm i think everyone was trying so hard TO BE a leader that it turned out to cause so much conflicts? i guess we all have to take turns sometimes and be a little less insensitive to others..lsc seemed rather short to me!(haha as compared to guides camp) and rather slack. even though guides camp was really filled with activites from when we woke up, to the time we hit the sleeping bag, at least it seemed more meaningful. yupyup.

aye. okay enough of lsc. now that it's over we have to start mugging for block tests already! jia you da jia, we can do it! (: hmm i dread going back to school after the march holidays..a sense of awful mugginess(?) embraces me. LOL!

i hope that our sec1s pass their enrolment test too! but even if they don't, at least they can have a retest and we can encourage them :D up till now i still have no idea what i'm supposed to bring for cca session on tues! sec3s can you please tell me! yadar yadar. ooh our next footdrill session is in may so by then i hope we can still remember all the commands, yeah? yep we can always arrange for a batchdrill before that so hopefully we can leave that session happily with a solid 'bang'!(:

lsc is over, and the post-camp survey was one of the LONGEST in the history of surveys i've ever done in my survey-filled life.
by the end of it, my monitress was close to tears. people are so insensitive sometimes.
